Do I Need A Home Inspection?
What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often happens in the beginning of the sale of a home. Home inspections are usually conducted by a home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such inspections.
Should I get a Home Inspection?
Although the home might look like it is in great shape, a great home inspector will find potential issues and any equipment that may have been recalled. They could also identify future maintenance that sometimes is missed by the homeowner. Getting a home inspection can also serve as a peace of mind. It will help provide an understanding of the home expectations for years to come.
Typically a home inspection costs around $500. This minimal cost will help ensure you aren't buying a home that will have hidden surprises in the years to come. Thoroughly inspecting every aspect of a home can only be beneficial, especially if the inspector finds potential issues that were not exposed to the seller.
Keep in mind sellers are required to disclose that the buyers have a right to perform a home inspection.
